At Cosmodrome, we want everyone to experience the universe in a way that feels comfortable and predictable. That is why we pay close attention to accessibility, both physically and in the way we present our content. Below, you’ll find an overview of what to expect.
The planetarium, exhibition and brasserie are easily accessible for wheelchair users. In the planetarium, seats can be removed to make space for wheelchairs.
The observatory itself can only be reached by stairs and is therefore not wheelchair accessible. However, we do provide a mobile telescope so that visitors using a wheelchair can still take part in observations. This is available on request and is best arranged in advance when booking a group visit.
Visitors with a European Disability Card receive a discount when visiting the planetarium. This card shows that you are officially recognised as having a disability, including non-visible disabilities. It also gives access to certain benefits during leisure activities.
Cosmodrome takes part in the Tourism for Autism project. We provide a visual step-by-step guide that shows your visit from start to finish. This helps you know in advance what will happen and what to expect during your day out. It creates more peace of mind, clarity and a more pleasant experience.
Do you have any questions about accessibility or would you like to discuss something in advance? Our visitor desk staff will be happy to help and think along with you to make your visit as comfortable as possible.
